Horvan Classic is the office suite and file viewer of Horvan Edu Coaching, the coaching centre app from Horvan Edu (a Horvans™ company), and any of our apps can drop it in.

What it does

  • View: one viewer for PDF, images, video, spreadsheets, Word and PowerPoint — downloads off unless allowed
  • Sheets, Docs, Slides and PDF editors over one shared Files store
  • Books: shelves per batch and a page-flip reader with highlights, notes and bookmarks
  • Math: KaTeX formulas and chemistry (mhchem) drawn anywhere, plus a symbol and equation picker
  • No platform name in the UI; every colour comes from the host app's theme

Who it's for

Any Horvan app that shows or edits files: notes, sheets, slides, PDFs, textbooks, formulas.

How another app uses it

Each part is one script and one stylesheet, with no framework. It adds a single namespace and never overwrites existing members:

All parts work in the demo today and can be embedded now. Files are kept in the browser (IndexedDB) until the shared server store lands; editors load their open-source engines (Quill, PDF.js, pdf-lib, KaTeX) on demand at pinned versions.

What is Horvan Classic?

Horvan Classic is a set of browser tools: View (a file viewer), Sheets, Docs, Slides, PDF, Files, Books and Math. Any Horvan app can add them. It is made by Horvan Edu, part of Horvans™.

Which files can it open?

PDF, images, video, spreadsheets, Word and PowerPoint files, all in one full-screen viewer.

Can students download the files?

Not unless the app allows it: downloads are off by default. Like any web viewer, it cannot stop screenshots or phone photos.

Where are the files saved?

For now, files are kept in the browser on the user's own device (IndexedDB) until the shared server store lands. See the privacy notice (draft).

Does it need a framework like React?

No. Each part is one script and one stylesheet. Editors load open-source engines (Quill, PDF.js, pdf-lib, KaTeX) on demand, at pinned versions.

Can it show maths and chemistry formulas?

Yes. It draws formulas with KaTeX and chemistry with mhchem, and it has a symbol and equation picker.

Will my users see the Horvans name?

No. The tools show no platform name, and every colour comes from the host app's theme.
